Interests And Personality
About MeDJ ShOw would be the first to tell you that his love for music started at home and a gift has been passed down through his family for generations. As a kid, music was always constant no matter where he was, at his house, or for any occasion or none at all—music was everywhere. As an eight year old, ShOw officially fell in love with music, and being around DJs since that age, a new DJ inevitably emerged—DJ ShOw. He would always take notes and was willing to help at any and every opportunity. Aside from his bloodline's influence, DJ ShOw especially cites DJ Joey O, who introduced him to the art and technique of djing, as a mentor and an inspiration. His other influences include Kid Capri, DJ Ron G, Funkmaster Flex, Kool DJ Red Alert, DJ Precise, DJ S&S, to name a few. For ShOw, who has always been ambitious, inspirations led to aspirations, and in the eighth grade, he began DJing as a hobby. On his 13th birthday, this hobby evolved into a career option when his father brought him his first set of turntables and a mixer. A short year later, ShOw was spinning at various house parties, a routine that would undoubtedly expand. When he graduated high school with honors, ShOw decided to further his studies at the State University of New York at Albany—where he is currently pursuing his B.A. in Communications and Business. It was at Albany where DJ ShOw's progress continued as he co-founded Money Talks Entertainment with good friend DJ Playboy, who held the position of Urban Director at the SUNY Albany station, 90.9 WCDB. Naturally, ShOw displayed interest and began helping DJ Playboy during his shows, and at the end of his first semester, Money Talks Entertainment was formed. Immediately the duo went to work, producing and distributing two mixtapes throughout the Capital Region, The Takeover Hip-Hop Series and Grown and Sexy R&B Series. Not too long afterwards, MTE recruited a third member of the crew, DJ Sunkiss. Together, the three NYC-bred DJs overtook and dominated the Albany DJ scene. Since, the MTE trio has orchestrated a reggae mixtape to their collection, The Pull It Up reggae mixtape series has been distributed both locally and over the internet, launching the company's potential to a worldwide level. Today, the MTE Co-Founder and C.E.O. hosts his own radio show every Wed. night at 8 p.m. on WCDB 90.9, which also broadcasts live online at www.WCDBfm.com. Additionally, DJ ShOw is also a part of the DJ crew the Knockout Kingz and is the official DJ for independent record label Bottomline Entertainment and their flagship artist Rover. Money Talks Entertainment is: DJ ShOw, DJ Sunkiss, DJ Playboy, 'Ms. Perfect Touch' Nish, & DJ Phayda G
